Spring Rose

This is for 's May contest- Spring. Each photo has to have a flower(s) in it. Well, down here in AZ, there aren't a lot of flowers right now. After April, the weather gets waaaaaay too warm, and most of the plants start to shrivel up- flowers included. So I spent the past few weeks trying to find a flower that was in bloom that didn't look like it was a breath away from death.

And BAM! This past week the rose bush in my apt complex decided it wanted to bloom. And here we are :3 A macro shot of it's interior. I love the way the petals unfurl. Apparently this rosebush is becoming very wild in nature, and it's roses seem to show this change.
